Tan Cheng Lock was born in 1883, and died in 1960. This photo appears that he was probably in his 60s, possibly taken in 1949 when we first became MCA president. Thus, it is highly likely that the work is public domain, for it exceeded 50 years, and that the author had died. Malaysia, being a commonwealth country, follow the copyright system of commonwealth nations. It came from here [1].
