Hi.
I'm a 27 year old software engineer, and a first-time homeowner in Northborough, Massachusetts. I work for a defense contractor.
I'm a roads and highways geek. I spent a great deal of my childhood studying maps. I can often find my way around an unfamiliar area merely by knowing something about the highway numbering system in whatever state I happen to be in, for example. I remember road numbers better than street names. My friends often think of me first whenever asking for directions.
I collect and study license plates (I am a member of ALPCA). I primarily collect plates from the three states where I've lived: Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and New York, though I do have a 50-state and 13-province run. I typically write articles about state routes here in Massachusetts. An example would be Route 119 (Massachusetts). I also poke my fingers into the List of interesting or unusual place names on occasion.
I am a big fan of Great Big Sea and Carbon Leaf, whom I have immortalized on vanity plates for my car (a stick shift 2004 Honda Civic Hybrid) and my motorcycle (a 1991 Honda Nighthawk 250), respectively. I also volunteer for a local FIRST Robotics team, and play the trombone.
