Talk:Tchotchke

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

What's wrong with it?

shouldn't it just redirect to "Swag"?

Common mispellings are chochkies, chotckies

was origin for the restaurant "Chotchkie's" in "Office Space"

is it Tchotchke or Tshotchke???

Its originally Russian isnt it? so different alphabets and such.

[edit] Mainstream usage

This word has begun appearing in mainstream sit-com programming. It should not be confused with the Australian "swag". The importance of a conference delegate is often recognised by the quality of the give-away products offered. Other types of products now include: - Hot air balloon flights - Wine and wine coolers - USB/thumb drives storage - battery operated torches

Does tchotchke include prizes, such as LCD TVs and laptops?

This is really short -- is this even a good item for wikipedia (as opposed to wiktionary)? Scix 01:04, 20 December 2005 (UTC)
