Taylor McKessie is a character from High School Musical. She is one of the smartest kids at East High. She is the science club leader. When Gabriella Montez arrives at East High they quickly become best friends. She, like Troy Bolton's best friend Chad Danforth, was against her singing because she thought that it would distract her from the science club and winning the science Decathlon. She also dislikes athletes because they contribute nothing to society other than slam dunks and touchdowns. Taylor teamed up with Chad and made Troy say that he didn't care about singing or Gabriella. That made Gabriella upset and she said that they weren't going to do the call-backs. Later on, Taylor and Chad realize how sad Gabriella and Troy are and they decide to fix it. Gabriella forgives Taylor, Chad, and Troy. Then Sharpay and Ryan found Gabriella and Troy singing and realized that they were good so they told Ms. Darbus that they have to change the date of the call-backs to the same day as the Decathlon and Basketball game. That makes everyone mad at them and then they make a plan. On the day of everything Taylor and Gabriella use their laptops to make the lights in the gymnasium (where the basketball game is) flicker on and off and make the scoreboard go corrupt. Troy runs to the call-backs while the principal of the school tells everyone to go the theater (call-backs). Then Taylor and Gabriella use their laptops to set off a hazardous chemical which also makes everyone evacuate to the theater. Gabriella and Troy sing their song, get the part and then everyone goes back to their event. The basketball team won and so did the science club. Then Chad asks Taylor out to the after party and Taylor gets really excited and runs to tell Gabriella who was just about to kiss Troy.
