Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders

Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders is a band founded by Taylor Hawkins (of the band Foo Fighters). Taylor Hawkins plays the drums and performs vocals in the band, while other band members include Chris Chaney (from Jane's Addiction and The Panic Channel) on bass and Gannin (just Gannin) on guitars. Chaney and Hawkins had previously been in Alanis Morissette's tour band 'Sexual Chocolate'
The project was started when Hawkins started recording a few songs at a home studio owned by a friend. The conclusion was a band would be created, with Taylor Hawkins on vocals. A genre is at this point uncertain, however the sound of the band has been described as "Rush meets the Bee-Gees". Most recently the band has been touring to try to get their name known.

The self-titled album 'Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders' was released March 21st, 2006.
It features 11 songs which were recorded by the band during 2004, before Foo Fighters started recording In Your Honor.
Their first official video clip was of the first song off the album, titled 'Louise'. The clip was directed by Alma Yakin[1]
