Taylor Hackford (born December 31, 1944 in Santa Barbara, California) is an American film director. He received an Oscar in 1979 for the short film Teenage Father and received two Oscar nominations in 2004 for the Ray Charles biopic Ray. Hackford is married to Academy Award winning actress Helen Mirren; they married on his 53rd birthday in the Scottish Highlands. Hackford graduated from USC's School of Cinema-Television in 1968.
