Tay can refer to any of the following:

• The Tay is a river in the highlands of Scotland. There are a number of associated topics:
  • Tay Bridge, a railway bridge that collapsed killing all on board a train
  • Loch Tay, one of the larger freshwater lochs in Scotland
  • Firth of Tay, the estuary into which the Tay flows.
  • Tay, Ontario, a township of Simcoe County, in Ontario, Canada, named after this area of Scotland, where many original settlers came from.
• The Rolls-Royce Tay (turbojet), a turbobjet aircraft engine, or the later Rolls-Royce Tay (turbofan)
• The nickname of the NBA athlete, Tayshaun Prince.
• The Tay are an ethnic group in Vietnam.
• Tay is the name of an age in the Myst series, primarily in the game Riven.
• TaY, an abbreviation for Tampereen yliopisto (University of Tampere), a large university in Tampere, Finland.

Tay is also a family name in parts of Asia such as China, Singapore and Malaysia - although it is believed to originate from China and spread its way round Asia due to early migration of the Chinese nationals.
