Tau Phi

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tau Phi is a social and community service based sorority at Immaculata University, located in Malvern, Pennsylvania, United States. Tau Phi was founded in the spring of 1996 by a group of girls who wanted to have a sorority that did not subscribe to the bidding system. The bidding system is a system that takes place before and after pledging. In order to even attempt the pledging process you must receive a bid and once pledging is over you must receive another bid in order to be able to get into the sorority. Tau Phi was founded on the premise that everyone deserves the chance to pledge and that as long as you earn enough points during pledging you deserve to get in.

Although Tau Phi is located in a Roman Catholic university they are proud to say that diversity of religion, majors, political parties, ethnicity, sexual orientation, economic status and national origin are very prominent in the sorority.
