Tau Pegasi (τ Peg / τ Pegasi) is a magnitude 4.60m star in the constellation Pegasus. The star has also the traditional names Salm, Kerb (or El Khereb) and Markab, a name shared with α Pegasi, κ Puppis and κ Velorum. τ Pegasi belongs to the spectral class A5Vp.
