Tau, Norway
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Tau is a village in the municipality of Strand. Tau has about 3000 inhabitants and is connected to Stavanger by ferry.
The name comes from the Norse word Taufr meaning witchcraft, and one believes there was a sacrificial field here in the Iron age.
Most days the place smells of puffed rice, because of the factory Vestkorn AS. The factory is located in a white mill that was used to brew the norwegian beer known as "Tou".
