Tarik Hodžić

Tarik Hodžić (born 1951. in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina) is a former Bosnian football player.

He started playing football in FK Željezničar youth team. In 1970, he signed his first professional contract with the club, but he was loaned out to Famos Hrasnica. He played there for three seasons. After he was the topscorer of Yugoslav second division in 1973. with 28 goals, he was returned to FK Željezničar where he played for two seasons.

After that, he played for Olimpija Ljubljana and then he left abroad. He played for Belgian side RFC de Liège where he was the best goalscorer. This excellent striker then went to Turkey. He has signed a contract with Galatasaray and he was the topscorer of Turkish championship in 1983-1984 season with 16 goals. After four years of playing for this club, he transferred to Sarıyer in 1984-1985 season. Finally, he has ended his career in 1986.

He lives in Sarajevo. He is an owner of a popular restaurant. He was also a replacement head coach of FK Željezničar for several games in 1997.
