Tarentum

Tarentum is an obsolete Greek name for the coastal city of Taranto in Apulia, southern Italy, which was in use far before the time of Herodotus.[1] The name was used throughout the Roman era.[citation needed]

Tarentum is also the name of an electro band from Leeds, England comprising of members Tom Sidebottom, Becka Ward, Jesse O'Mahoney, Chris Sharkey, Emma Sargison, Tuva Andersen and Ben Gale. Their musical style takes in influences from trip hop, jazz, house and classical. The band was set up in 2001 and has since released an album entitled Your Country Needs Us.
