TAPMI is among the Top 10 B-schools in India. Its PGDM programme is recognized for its innovative curriculum and academic rigour. The curriculum's thematic flow reflects current realities in business, and aims to develop both personal and professional competency. TAPMI's autonomous status enables this flexibility.

Post Graduate Diploma in Management - PGDM

The two year Post Graduate Programme has three terms in the first year, and two in the second year. Courses equivalent to 15-18 credit units are normally slated for a term. The students go through a rigorous and continuous evaluation system for each course throughout the term. The programme covers a large area of learning in management through four broad clusters of courses.

   . Functional courses
   . Advanced elective courses
   . Courses which build integrative outlook and better perspective.

The programme offers over 100 courses in 5 terms, A PGP student on an average undergoes about 40 courses. The pedagogy emphasizes comprehension, competence building, information and data analysis, criteria building, evaluation and problem solving with integrative outlook. Both written and oral communication skills are reinforced through a special package.

The First Year of the programme gives a through grounding in basic disciplines and broad functional areas and provide a strong foundation for advanced courses in second year. Accordingly, there courses in economics, behavioral sciences, quantitative techniques, computers and accounting, besides courses in functional areas of management like finance, marketing, production and operations, human resource management, organizational behavior and entrepreneurship.

The Second Year provides main opportunities by offering the students a wide range of courses in their areas of interest. From the year 2002, the 5th and 6th terms have been combined. The institute offers advanced courses in Finance, Marketing, HRD, Systems and Entrepreneurships. Courses in Strategic management help students in developing a strategic view of all functional areas, skills for managing in a competitive environment and insights into strategic thinking. Besides there are courses such as business ethics, management innovation, International Management, Environment Management, Managerial Leadership that builds wider perspectives. Students are given the flexibility to choose 26 to 32 elective credits in the second year.

Awards & Recognition - Institute

Centre for Change Management, Mumbai along with Deccan Herald-Avenues hosted a strategic program for HR Development on January 17, 2004 at Hotel Leela Palace, Bangalore. The program aims at showcasing HR talent, presenting new HR Ideas, Perspectives and demonstrating Exemplary Leadership. The program was followed by the Deccan Herald Awards for HR Excellence.

Centre For Change Management claims to be one of the largest HR Companies in India. They have presented products like Who Moved My Cheese, Chicken Soup For The Soul, Jonathan Livingston Seagull etc. to the Indian Corporate World.

They instituted a rolling trophy in the name of Dr R L Bhatia's mother at the Deccan Herald-Avenues HR function, which was targeted at the HR professionals. About four hundred professionals from corporate India were present at the function and the Trophy was presented in the presence of these professionals. TAPMI was awarded the rolling trophy for the Best Student in Management of the Institute.

TAPMI was among the first management institutes in the country to receive recognition from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for its management programme. The Institute is a member of the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS). The Post Graduate Programme of TAPMI is recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as equivalent to MBA Degree

TAPMI is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with Five Stars and by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) with 'A' rating

TAPMI received the 'Best Management Institute of the Year' award from the India HRD Congress, Mumbai in January 2002

TAPMI is one of the five institutes recognised by AICTE as Nodal Centres for Faculty Development Programmes (Quality Improvement Programmes)

TAPMI is recognised as a Research Centre for Doctoral Programmes in Management by Karnatak University, Dharwar and Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE, a Deemed University)
