Taoyuan County is located in Changde, Hunan Province of the People's Republic of China.
The Yuan River, a tributary of Yangtze River flows through Hunan, providing electricity through Hydroelectricity.

Agricultural products include rice, wheat, edible oils, sesame seeds, peanuts, cotton, and tobacco. Machinery, textiles, chemicals, wood products, and leather goods are the manufactured here. Local mines extract gold, silver, iron ore, and diamonds.
