Talk:Tao Yin
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is an anecdotal discussion of Tao Yin practice, its creation and spin-offs, from first-person experience. I Studied a neijia (secretive, familial) art which was born from Tao Yin, and Taoism. Many Chinese martial arts have a "family tree" which would lead back to Tao Yin, and/or Taoism. This art was called 'Nei Tai'. It is a structured form that includes a Taoist Qigong practice, and a Neijin-ch'uan combat practice. In Taoist manner - it is intended to both heal ( onesself and others ) and to be a defensive fighting form. My teacher ( sifu ) was Master Xue Lian Fu, of the Northern Fu family. Relation of Shen-Ling Fu, the "Northern Dragon".
