[edit] Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan & Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam

I've reverted that. Please note that you are very welcome to correct inaccuracies yourself. Also, how come that these two parties are both reported to be parts of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal, and picked up exactly the same number of votes in the 2002 election? (Maybe I'm not the only one confused :) You may want to check and correct that. Also, dont forget to sign your posts on talk pages. Conscious 19:25, 5 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Ilford County High School

There seems to be a generational problem here. I am myself an Old Parkonian, and among my contemporaries ICHS was regarded as being in Clayhall. You seem to be right that a younger generation disagree, and I have amended the article accordingly. I hope that this closes the matter. - Runcorn 22:35, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Chittagonian

Hi Tanzeel,

I am very interested in Eastern Indic languages, and I hope to add to your article when I can. Thanks for initiating this article and letting people know about the many languages of eastern South Asia, official and unofficial. I will add on the language codes soon. --SameerKhan 22:22, 8 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sylhet

Hi Tanzeel, could you please cleanup and improve the Sylhet article? More specifically, we need improvements to the city, the district and the divisional pages. Also needed are articles on the Madhabkundo Fall, Tamabil, Baniachong, the gas fields, Haripur, etc. And when you create any BD related page, please add that to the appropriate location of List of Bangladesh-related topics ... it makes it easy to look into pages, and also if you click Related Changes from that page, you'd see all changes to BD-related pages.

Anyway, thanks for your edits.

--Ragib 22:20, 14 March 2006 (UTC)

Will sort out the Sylhet division, district and town articles very soon. Tanzeel 23:21, 14 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:Wikiethics

Hi,

We started a proposal Wikipedia:Wikiethics to state the existing policies coherently and make suggestions on improving the editorial standards in Wiki. I thought you might be interested in contributing to that proposal.

Unfortunately, a pro-porn and pro-offense lobby is trying to make this proposal a failure. They unilaterally started an approval poll although almost no one including me believe that it is time for a vote, simply because the policy is not ready. It is not even written completely.

Editors who thinks that the policy needs to be improved rather than killed by an unfair poll at the beginning of the proposal, started another poll ('Do we really need a poll at this stage?') at the same time. The poll is vandalized for a while but it is stable now. A NO vote on this ('Do we really need a poll now?') poll will strengthen the position of the editors who are willing to improve the ethics policy further.

If you have concerns about the ethics and editorial standards in Wiki, please visit the page Wikipedia:Wikiethics with your suggestions on the policy. We have two subpages: Arguments and Sections. You might want to consider reviewing these pages as well...

Thanks in advance. Resid Gulerdem 22:27, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] RJ

... is a failed comedian and sitcom writer from North London, Britain. His repeated attempts at breaking through into the world of successful sitcoms has been marred by a string of unfortunate failures. Critics claim his style of comedy is unoriginal and an unsuccessful amalgamation of the comedic styles of Frasier, Chris Rock, Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld. However, he has a few admirers, who claim that, while his comedy may not be original on the outset, this eclectic style of comedy is original in its own right. His comedy heroes and inspirations are many, foremost amongst which are: the television sitcoms Curb Your Enthusiasm, Seinfeld, Frasier and Arrested Development and the comedians Larry David and Chris Rock, and also Noel Gallagher, whom he believes to be funny enough to be classed a comedian. His alma mater is Mill Hill School and is an avid fan of Manchester City football club, for which he can provide no explanation other than his excessive adoration for Oasis.

[edit] Wikipedia:Wikiethics

Hi Tanzeel, the discussion on the Wikipedia:Wikiethics page is continuing at the personal confict level. If you believe the important of the proposal I would appreciate for your contributions and appearance on the discussion page. Please note that this proposal cannot be completed or become successful without your contributions. Thanks in advance. Resid Gulerdem 03:53, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hi

Thanks for your comment, I removed "exiled" form Rumi. On a side note, you seem familiar with Sufism and Persian poetry, can you please take a look at the ongoing dispute on Talk:Jami. --ManiF 15:04, 15 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks for edit on Salafi

Thank you for your edits on various Islam-related articles and in particular for the latest edit at Salafi. We have to keep pruning names out of that list, as the Salafi editors want to claim everyone other Muslims respect as a Salafi. I'm afraid quite a few anons also periodically delete all criticism, and sometimes replace it with Salafi dawa. No one seems to be up for debate on the talk page, however. [edit] WikiProject WS

Just letting you know I have created a userbox for WikiProject Writing Systems at Template:User WikiProject WS. It looks like this:

Just add {{User WikiProject WS}} to your userpage. BTW, any questions or comments should be directed to the project's talkpage, as I will be spamming this message to all current members. Thanx!--The ikiroid (talk)(Help Me Improve) 22:37, 1 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Template:Islam

Hi there, The Islam template is used in all Islam related articles and it carries an image of the mosque, if you take a close look at the other religion templates they all carry an icon that actually symbolizes the particular religion. The question is what symbolizes Islam? As a muslim you would agree that we cannot Idolize any symbol as sacred as it would be Shirk. So the next question is what kind of icon would correctly represent Islam and Muslims? It is undoubtedly the Shahada, because without it we wouldn't be muslims. So I have suggested to change the template image from a masjid to a Masjid with the Shahada in it. In order to have the image in the template I need build some consense, could you kindly visit the talk page (Template_talk:Islam) and make your suggestion, lets have the template change so it will correctly represent Islam. (You do not have to support it if you dont like it). thanks in advance.  «Mÿšíc»  (T) 10:51, 16 May 2006 (UTC)

Hi brother your vote on the Consensus count has been changed from "for it" to "Neutral", did you do that? As a muslim you would agree that nothing is more important than the Shahada to a muslim. If the Christians can use the Cross and the Hindus can use the Aum and Bhais can use the star why shouldn't muslims use something significant to us like the Shahada? I earnestly request you to change your vote to "For it" please.. I hope you will reconsider please..Thanks in advance  «Mÿšíc»  (T) 12:31, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Featured article work for WikiProject Writing Systems members

Hello WikiProject WS members, it's the ikiroid again, spamming for help.....this time, it's for working on an article. We're trying to bring the article about the International Phonetic Alphabet up to featured status, and it would be great if anyone from our project would be willing to lend a helping hand. You can make suggestions about what to improve in the article here, where we're keeping track of the article's renovation. Thanks for reading. Feel free to ask me any questions about the article's improvement.--The ikiroid (talk·desk·Advise me) 23:19, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Ilford County High School

Hi Tanjil. I recently read the ICHS article - would you mind adding Mr.Farrar/ Mr. Moorshead to the noted teachers list? Or at least mention them within the article - after all, you have described them as 'Legends' before. Thanks in advance, --M.Jibran

Legends? I suppose they were really good teachers, but they aren't really that note-worthy in the ICHS article. They haven't, to my knowledge, made any major impact outside of school. Perhaps Clarke and Caille though? (just joking!)Gammondog 21:54, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Islamic Barnstar Award

Please offer your opinion, vote, or whatever about your choice for the image to be used with the Islamic Barnstar Award at the Barnstar proposals page. Although there is consensus for the concept of an Islamic Barnstar Award, some editors would like to change the image for the award. I was just thinking you should be aware of this discussion because you have contributed to Islamic-related articles, received the Islamic Barnstar Award, or have contributed to the Islam-related Wikiprojects, etc.--JuanMuslim 1m 16:22, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Info on Islamophobic group

Hello,

What follows are the thoughts, expressed in their own words, and in the 'protest signs', of the obscure, very small, but very vocal 'activist group' known as "Protest Warrior".

"What's becoming clear is how the religion of Islam is addicted to war and mayhem. Not a radical minority, not a rogue sect, but its very essence is about submission and sacrifice and proving your worth by worshipping death in this life to gain a paradise of orgies and drunkenness. Their entire history is of warfare, and any accomplishments of their so-called Golden Age has been proven to be merely parasitic off the cultures they've conquered and reduced to dhimmi servitude. That every country under sharia is corrupt, belligerent, desolate and barbaric obviously gives them no pause, except to constantly drive them into further psychotic rage as they refuse to ever accept any responsibility for their conditions. They are akin to the powers in Orwell's 1984; there must always be an enemy. It's no surprise that women are treated like property in these countries as that's the only way Muslim men can feed their egos, to dominate others rather than ever actually produce something."

Kfir Alfia and Alan Lipton, founders of "Protest Warrior"

Their 'protest signs'...

Signs

I thought you might be interested in this group's sentiments. They are currently very actively editing their own article on Wiki and there is a lot of 'group think'. Perhaps you might want to become involved in the editing and discussion process on that page. If you do, please don't vandalize, and try to remain civil. Should you not want to involve youself, please forgive my intrusion.
