"Tank" is a short story written by Francis E. Izzo that was first published in Asimov's Science Fiction magazine, March, 1979. "Tank" was the tale of a skeptical pinball arcade gamer's first experience with a truly amazing video game. Written at a time when video games like Pong and Tank had simple graphics and existed mainly in bars, this short story illustrated that video games could possibly simulate reality. The story was also published in Isaac Asimov’s Science Fiction Anthology, edited by George H. Scithers, Davis 1982, among other anthologies. In 1980 the author narrated the tale on an edition of the Canadian TV series "Fast Forward" devoted to electronic games, on which also appeared noted science fiction author Isaac Asimov.
