Tangmere

Tangmere is a village in West Sussex, England. It is twinned with Hermanville-sur-Mer in Lower Normandy, France. According to the 2001 British Census, it had a population of 2,464.
Tangmere is located three miles outside of Chichester and is the home of the RAF Tangmere airfield, which played an important role in World War II during the Battle of Britain. The airfield is now home to the Tangmere Aviation Museum.
It has a primary school, a pub (The Bader Arms), a petrol garage (Esso) and one village shop (One Stop, owned by Tesco.)
