Tanakh is the name for music written and improvised by a musical collective from Richmond, Virginia. The ethnic fusion collective was formed in 2000 by its primary songwriter — veteran producer and recording engineer, Jesse Poe.

Some of the notable people who have collaborated with the outfit include members from Broken Hips (Phil Murphy and Tom Brickman), Cracker (David Lowery, Johnny Hickman), Dirty Three (Mick Turner), and Ravi Shankar associate, Nirmal Bajekal.
