Coordinates: 20°37′35″S, 49°38′57″W Tanabi is a municipality in the northwestern part of the state of São Paulo in Brazil. The population in 2003 was 23,138, the density was 54.52/km² and the area is 747.31 km². The elevation is 518 m. Tanabi is located north of the city of São José do Rio Preto and southwest of Frutal. The area are made up of farmlands and hills along with forests. The sporting club in the city is the Tanabi Esporte Clube.
