Tamil Nadu Police

The 'Tamil Nadu Police' is the police force of Tamil Nadu, India, and is the fifth largest state police force in India. It is headed by a Director General of Police and comes under the state home department. The police administration in the state is divided into four police zones, each headed by an Inspector General of Police. There are thirty police districts, each headed by a Commission. There are six city police forces for the six main cities of Tamil Nadu.
