[edit] Oilinvest

This article or one on Oilinvest should have some more background on the group and its connections with Libya. From a quick search it seems that Oilinvest was set up by the Libyan government in 1988 and based in the Netherlands to avoid sanctions. Tamoil apparently existed before it was brought by Oilinvest so this article should cover its history prior to that. I don't know how much ownership or control the Libyan government currently has. When Tamoil is mentioned in the British press it's often described as the Libyan state oil company. The Tamoil website doesn't mention Libya except to say the Libyan National Oil Corporation is Tamoil's main supplier. Andy Smith (talk) 12:25, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] More to Tamoil than meets the eye

Just like the comment on OIlinvest suggests, there is a lot more to Tamoil than meets the eye. See the article on its founder and owner, Roger Tamraz, after whom the company is named.
