Talom Rukbo

Talom Rukbo was a literary and social worker in Arunachal Pradesh. He was the father of Donyi-Polo, a religious movement based in Arunachal Pradesh. He has made scathing criticism of Christian missionaries for fraudulent conversion practices in the Northeast of India [1].

The church?Christian missionaries ? quickly capitalized on the innocence of our forefathers. They fraudulently convinced our people that we were barbarians and converted some into Christianity. ? Because of his contribution to the Adivasi way of life, Rukbo has been named one of the inspirations for the Vanavasi Kalyan Ashram project run by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh [3].
