Talking Rock is a town in Pickens County, Georgia, United States. The population was 49 at the 2000 census.

Talking Rock is located at 34°30′34″N, 84°30′19″W (34.509557, -84.505175)GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.5 km² (0.2 mi²), all land.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 49 people, 19 households, and 14 families residing in the town. The population density was 99.6/km² (255.5/mi²). There were 23 housing units at an average density of 46.7/km² (119.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the town was 100.00% White.

There were 19 households out of which 21.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 68.4% were married couples living together, 10.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 21.1% were non-families. 21.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 15.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.58 and the average family size was 2.93.

In the town the population was spread out with 16.3% under the age of 18, 2.0% from 18 to 24, 34.7% from 25 to 44, 28.6% from 45 to 64, and 18.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 43 years. For every 100 females there were 96.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 105.0 males.

The median income for a household in the town was $33,333, and the median income for a family was $31,875. Males had a median income of $32,250 versus $26,250 for females. The per capita income for the town was $15,780. None of the population and none of the families were below the poverty line.
