'Talk To Me' is a song by the American rock band, Nirvana. It appears unlikely that the song was recorded in the studio, but there are five known live performances:

  • November 16, 1991 in Muggia, Italy
  • November 17, 1991 in Mezzago, Italy
  • November 23, 1991 in Ghent, Belgium
  • November 26, 1991 in Bradford, United Kingdom
  • October 4, 1992 in Seattle, Washington

The performance of the song on October 4, 1992 in Seattle, Washington, appears on the DVD of the band's 2004 posthumous box set, With the Lights Out.

Another popular performance, that of November 17, 1991 in Mezzago, Italy, appeared on several bootlegs in the 1990s, such as Europe 1991 and the first Outcesticide album.

[edit] Trivia

  • According to his widow Courtney Love, Nirvana singer and guitarist Kurt Cobain had intended on donating "Talk To Me" to his friend Mark Lanegan, of the American grunge band the Screaming Trees, and the equally rare "Opinion" to his idol, the American musician Iggy Pop. However, after Cobain's death in April 1994, Love switched songs, giving "Talk To Me" to Pop, and "Opinion" to Lanegan. To date, neither song has been recorded.
