[edit] History
The company was originally named Tellinor but agreed to take a new name in 1995 when a Norwegian phone company, then named Televerket, decided to change its name to the present Telenor.
There was also a subdivision in the UK, the Talitor UK LTD. This subdivision was closed down when trading through the internet made the UK division redundant.
