Tales of the Slayers consists of two items, a graphic novel and a one-shot comic book, Tales of the Slayer: Broken Bottle of Djinn.
Contents |
[edit] Introduction
Both the graphic novel and the one-shot are set in the Buffyverse. Together they compose an anthology of short stories written by Joss Whedon, Jane Espenson, and others, each of which tells of a different member of the Slayer line.
The stories are presented in chronological order and offer snapshots of Slayers throughout history, from The First Slayer to Melaka Fray, (the Slayer of the future who starred in her own limited comic series).
The comic miniseries Tales of the Vampires, now available as a single collected trade paperback, offers a similar anthology of stories covering assorted Buffyverse vampires.
[edit] Canonical issues
- This graphic novel is part of Buffyverse canon. That means it is considered official Buffyverse reality. The stories were written by Amber Benson and members of Mutant Enemy Productions, specifically Jane Espenson, David Fury, Doug Petrie, and Joss Whedon.
