Talence is a commune in the département of Gironde and the Aquitaine région of France. It is the third-largest suburb of the city of Bordeaux, and is adjacent to it on the south side. Thus, it is a member of the metropolitan Urban Community of Bordeaux. In the 1999 census, Talence had a population of 37,210.
