Talamanca is a canton in the southern area of the province of Limón. There is a significant number of native americans in this canton. The canton is marked by its untouched beauty and beautiful beaches and forests. It borders Panama to the south. Both Cahuita and Puerto Viejo (Old Harbor) are popular tourist locations.
