Laura Solon: Talking and Not Talking is a comedic sketch show created by British Perrier Award winning comedienne, Laura Solon. The show first aired on BBC Radio 4. Following her success with Kopfraper's Syndrome: One Man and His Incredible Mind, Solon went on to create the show with the BBC. Like in her previous shows, Talking and Not Talking uses a variety of short sketches, featuring different characters, some recurring, some not.
The first series finished on the 14th February.

- The only named regular character is China Lion, a china ornament owned by a crazy German lady. In each of its occurances, the German lady describes how she came by China Lion, each time in different, very strange circumstances. Their adventures are usually very peculiar as well i.e. the German owner pretends to have a stroke.
- A Russian or Eastern European couple who are infatuated with Daniel Bedingfield. All they tend to do is talk about Daniel Bedingfield or make meagre meals from several potatoes.
