[edit] Copied one of your user boxes

Hi Takethemud,

I copied your user box for "opposed to online censorship" and put it on my profile. Hope that's all right. Best, Coolmojito 12:57, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

Hi Takethemud, thanks for your reponse on my talk page. By the way, your user boxes were the first ones I added to my bio, so a double thanks. Of course, you'll definitely make it to my favorite people page :-) Best, Coolmojito 01:31, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Portal:Florida

Hi Takethemud. I noticed that you started Portal:Florida but didn't get very far. I posted a link to it at Wikipedia:WikiProject Florida. Have a look! -- CQ 07:25, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Portal:Florida

You created Portal:Florida - it's up for deletion at the moment. You might want to read and comment on the discussion. --HughCharlesParker (talk - contribs) 09:29, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Healthcare in Cuba

Hi, an issue concerning referencing has been discussed on the Healthcare of Cuba page, and your name came up. Since you created the page, there has been a considerable amount of work put in by myself and others, including the creation of extensive footnotes using the cite: format. User Ultramarine has requested that as per Wikipedia policy, we change this back to the basic [1] reference system and follow the style you initially implemented. Would you care to comment?--Zleitzen 05:19, 20 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Response to discussion

I responded to your message under the Justin Seay discussion, to let you know. Zchris87v 19:30, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

Thanks very much for your kind comments, Takethemud. Also, belated congratulations for setting up the Cuba portal, which I hope could be a "featured portal" without too much difficulty or work in the near future.--Zleitzen 19:59, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Portal featured status

I offered the Cuba portal up for featured status. It took a bit of a hammering from critics, would you mind taking a look and making any improvements you see fit.--Zleitzen 16:27, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] I'm new to Wikipedia

I'm currently a college student at LMU studying philosophy, can you provide me information how i would go along joinng Wiki Cuba Project. Thanks --Verb0s 09:03, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

Actually, I was told to take out everything because it had been previously established as Simpson fan cruft. And, after seeing some of the episodes listed in sections (ie. the Carl example), I just cleared every section I came upon. -- Scorpion 19:26, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

It should also be noted that if you are preparing the Moe page for a run at GA, the references are in the wrong format and the page will likely not pass with a list like that. Having a category for Moe episodes is an ideal solution: It wouldn't count as list cruft and you could have an easy link from the page. -- Scorpion 19:34, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
I'm trying to help here and while I understand that having a list means it would be organized and easy to read, but like it or not, most would call it cruft. There was a time when I also would probably have tried to protect such a list, but Wikipedia is not a Simpsons fan site. So, I take it that you dislike the idea of making an "episodes featuring Moe" category and tagging each episode page with a Moe episode with it? -- Scorpion 19:41, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
As for style, check out the Homer page and try to copy its format. It's a GA. -- Scorpion 19:42, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
I don't think categories would be deleted if we as a WikiProject came to the consensus that they are okay. Plus, we'd have a strong argument to keep them. Check out this page to see how easily accessible they are. Just add at the bottom "See Also" then "List of Moe-centric episodes" -- Scorpion 19:53, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
I meant a category list. Make a category for it, ie "Category:The Simpsons episodes featuring Mr. Burns" then add it to each page. -- Scorpion 20:00, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
I think you may have misunderstood. I don't mean start a Wikipedia page, I mean start a category, put said category on every episode page for an episode that features said character and then add a link to that category from that characters page. -- Scorpion 20:13, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] New response

It's funny because I came up with the idea for categories because you wanted to have useless character lists so much. Also, you should have waited until we had a full consensus instead of rushing off and trying to be the very first to get started. The project has decided several times past and present that episodes lists are cruft and not needed. You don't see an "episodes this character featured in" list on the Archie Bunker or Hawkeye Pierce page, do you? -- Scorpion 21:04, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Rigellians.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:Rigellians.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] Cruft?

Yes. I've pointed Scorpion to some relevant guidelines on lists and categories (and the lack of one for "cruft") but have so far failed to convince him that it's really not important that some people might consider such a list "cruft". Perhaps a WP:RFC on the matter would help. I'll take a look at the wikiproject, time permitting. >Radiant< 16:04, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

Mr. Burn's age You put undetermined for Mr. Burn's age on the Simpsons...but most of the other characters have ages listed, which are undetermined too. very few characters say their age, but yet are still listed on here. what are your thoughts on that. plus for burns, it can be put 81 or 104, which it said on SNPP.com....i saw you reverted that. ctjf83 20:58 21 Feb 2007
