This is the demo that convinced Victory Records to sign Taking Back Sunday. All of these songs (except "Your Own Disaster") were re-recorded for their debut album Tell All Your Friends. The spoken word at the beginning of "Great Romances Of The Twentieth Century" is taken from the movie Beautiful Girls. Two versions are known to exist. One, titled "The 'Tell All Your Friends" Demo', with a picture of a man and woman kissing on the insert, and a later one titled only 'Taking Back Sunday', with a picture of an amp. Both versions were recorded at Mike Sapone's recording studio, burned onto CD-R and packaged in a thin plastic slip-case. Prior to the release of Tell All Your Friends, the band destroyed all remaining copies.
