This is a Japanese name; the family name is Takeno.

Takeno Jōō (武野 紹鴎? 1502-1555) was a master of the tea ceremony and a well-known merchant during the Sengoku period of the 16th century in Japan. Takeno originated in the Yamato Province and became a wealthy merchant in Sakai. He became well known throughout the region as a master of the tea ceremony, and was reputed to have been a tutor to famous later masters of tea Tsuda Sogyu and Sen no Rikyu.
