[edit] Character
Mori is also a third-year student of the school and is the tallest, most silent member of the club. Despite the fact that he rarely speaks or smiles, his tall, tanned, and handsome figure earns him many customers. According to Kyoya, "his taciturnity is his selling point," and many of his admirers are the more introverted and serious girls at Ouran. He's labelled the "wild type" host. Because Mori acts largely on his instincts, this label fits him rather well. Additionally, Mori is the Japanese national champion in kendo.
Moreover, Mori is Hunny's cousin. The Morinozuka family had protected the Haninozuka family for many generations. The two families were joined by marriage two generations ago, the families became related to each other, thus breaking the master-servant tradition. Nevertheless, Mori still faithfully protects Hunny and is always by his side, attending to his wishes and watching out for him. However, Mori doesn't spoil his cousin. During the time when Hunny had a toothache, he was the first to get Tamaki to impose a ban on sweets in the Host Club.
In the manga, he has a younger brother, Satoshi (悟), who is a friend of Hunny's brother. Satoshi has the complete opposite personality of his elder brother, being very lively and cheerful. However, like Takashi, Satoshi has a strong sense of loyalty towards the Haninozukas, and he frequently hits Hunny's brother on the head whenever he feels that his friend was being rude.
In contrast to Hunny, who is bad-tempered when he wakes up, Mori becomes uncharacteristically talkative and friendly when he is tired, which proves to comically frighten the other hosts. Also, after taking a nap, he usually forgets what he has done while he's tired.
