Takashi Hirano (born 15 July 1974 in Shizuoka) is a Japanese football midfielder.
He was a member of the Japanese national team between 1997 and 2000. He played two games as a substitute at the 1998 FIFA World Cup.
Strong left foot with excellent serving. Popular for his cannon shot and nick name – Lefty Monster. Discovered by Arsene Wenger at Nagoya Grampus Eight and developed to one of the best lefty attacker in Japan. Trained with Arsenal in 2000 and 2005.
