Tajima cattle

Tajima cattle (但馬牛 Tajima-ushi or Tajima-gyu?) is one of black Wagyu kobe cattle in Japan. Many tajima cattle, are born in Hyogo Prefecture, grow up to brand beef such as Kobe beef and Matsuzaka beef.

Tajima cattle has been fed from old times in Tajima Province. Tajima cattle was written down "Tajima-ushi is fit to cultivate the fields, to carry burdens and to eat" on Shoku Nihongi. In ancient times, person fed tajima-ushi in own house.
