The Taiwan gulper shark has no anal fin, two dorsal fins with small spines, and a caudal fin with a more vertical rear edge. The maximum length of the shark is 154 cm.

The Taiwan gulper shark, as its name implies, is only found around Taiwan. The teeth of the shark is jagged an can penatrate someones skin easily.
