Taiwan Power Company

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Taiwan Power Company (Chinese: 台灣電力公司, as known as Taipower) is a state-owned electric power utility providing electric power to Taiwan and off-shore islands of Republic of China. In 1994 a measure which allowed independent power producers (IPP's) to provide up to 20 percent of Taiwan's electricity should have lead to an end of the monopoly[1].
