Tainan County (Traditional Chinese: 台南縣; Hanyu Pinyin: Táinán Xiàn; Tongyong Pinyin: Táinán Siàn; Wade-Giles: T'ai-nan Hsien; Taiwanese: Tâi-lâm-koān) is a county in Southern Taiwan . The name "Tainan" means simply "Southern Taiwan". Tainan County is officially administered as a county of Taiwan, Republic of China.
