Tainai, Niigata

Tainai (胎内市, -shi) is a city located in Niigata Prefecture, Japan. It has an area of 265.18 km² and a population of 33,309 (as of April 1, 2005)

The city was established on September 1, 2005 as a result of the merger between the town of Nakajo and the village of Kurokawa from Kitakanbara District.
