Tai Wai (Chinese: 大圍) is a station on KCR East Rail and the southwestern terminus of the KCR Ma On Shan Rail. It is located in Tai Wai.
The station was originally opened in 1983 as the midway station of East Rail. In 2001, the station began to expand and the construction ended in September, 2004. The new concourse part was opened at first in the same month. Since December 21, 2004, this station serves as the terminus of Ma On Shan Rail, as well as the interchange station between two lines.
It will also be an interchange station to MTR's proposed railway Sha Tin to Central Link.

All platforms are sided platforms. Platforms 3 and 4 are slightly higher than Platforms 1 and 2. There are several walkways connecting platform 3 and 2 for interchange.
It is notable that the Ma On Shan Rail Terminus part uses continental travelling mode, which facilitates interchange from Ma On Shan Rail to East Rail. There is room for the Ma On Shan Rail train to reverse.
