Tahuna Normal Intermediate School

Tahuna Normal Intermediate School is a school for Year 7 (Form One) and Year 8 (Form Two) students, based in Dunedin, New Zealand. It is located near the St Kilda and the St Clair beaches. It has a Principal, Deputy Principal, nearly 25 teachers, teacher aides and Dunedin College of Education student teachers. It has a compulsory school uniform policy and most students are aged from 11 - 13 years.
Most subjects are taught by class teachers. Four kinds of technology are available to study; wood work, design, food and art. Technology lessons occur for four consecutive days every second week. During non-technology weeks a class may be assigned to do receptionist and rubbish duty.

At Tahuna Normal Intermediate School you have the choice of joining:

- Basketball teams
- Netball teams
- Dance groups
Each week, if a child has done excellent school work or has been helping their teacher with classroom duties, they may be given a Blue Card Award. This is an acknowledgement of appreciation or achievement from their class teacher.
Every Tuesday afternoon Tahuna has sports options and you can choose one sports you like for each season. Available sports include: Badminton, Running, Cycling, Power-Walking, Dance, Padder Tennis, Rippa Rugby, Tae Kwon Do and Golf.
School starts in February and ends in December.
