[edit] Edward Prior
The text comes from my unpublished thesis on ESP written for the RICS Post Grad Dip in Historic Building Conservation back in 1998. That drew on a wide range of published and unpublished material, particularly an unpublished PhD thesis by Lynne Brown Walker dating from 1978 and discussions with her. The stuff on individual buildings general comes from articles published in The Architect et. al at the time.
One day soon I'll sort some illustrations once I have got a handle on their copyright issues.

[edit] Geolinks template
Thanks for the comment on Clapham Junction. I tried playing with the template to get multimap into it but seemingly you cannot mix the aerial view but called with a latitude/longitude parameter. So I've just restored it below the geolinks so it looks seemless.
The Terraserver issue is that Geolinks-cityscale is in use worldwide. The Terravision scale of 15 is supported worldwide but is a little far out for cities. Go to scale 8 (closer in) and Terravision is broken outside Europe and North America. --Scotthatton 11:43, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
lol no it didnt hurt, i find it quite funny actually, and how the hell do i properly talk ? or do i have to alter more articles ?
to put it simply, because i am procrastinating from doing my homework and because i find the childishness quite funny and i know im not alone in feeling this way, and the disclaimer at the bottom, it says: "If you don't want your writing to be edited mercilessly or redistributed by others, do not submit it." so therefore i find it a direct invite to change anything i feel like changing
i never said i was a child, just childish and i thought it would be good arguing with you as you might put up a good fight, but your just lame dude, you try to sound smart and all that but it dont really make any sense, your just scrambling for ideas and thats sad man. And dont think this means im gunna stop changing stuff :) this was just a warm up
i would tell my mother, if i had one. There is such a thing as right of free speech and not all my stuff was about reproductive organs like moustachioed women, brothels and homosexuality. And where is the fun in contributing something useful ?
so your actually egging me on, trying to get me to produce better ? like i said, it was only a warm up. very good work though, it made me laugh
you wanna know the fun in "vandalising other peoples work"? its the challange of trying to turn something informing into something rude and funny, but try and keep a certain "flow" going, and i know they were shit my first few ones, but as i said, they are just a warm up, i will be back when i have more time, but ive decided i better finish my homework instaed of pissing around here. See you soon :)
it was nice meeting you Tagishsimon. By the way, is that some sort of pokemon name, or someother form of japanese manga ?

[edit] Copyright licences
I uploaded an [[Image:Camp_Sagamore-dining_hall.jpg|image}} to use for the Sagamore Camp article. However, I am unsure which license to tag for this image. I was hoping you would be able to help me out. I am the photographer of this image, and I don't want it to be used for commercial use, if at all possible. Do you know which license would work? I apologise if this is a stupid question; I am new to Wikipedia and don't really know what I'm doing. --Riley 05:21, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] stubsensor's broken links
Hi,
Its actually not stubsensor that has the problem - its moving the output of stubsensor into wikipedia that causes the unicode characters to get garbled. Specifically, pbcopy on a mac does not handle unicode and makes it garbled. I know what the solution is: write a custom uploader/bot that moves the output with out having me resort to cut and paste. Its on the list of things to do when I've got the time; I know its ugly in the mean time but something is better than nothing. Triddle 22:38, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sir Goldsworthy Gurney
Firstly thank you for your contributions to the Goldsworthy Gurney article, your work is greatly appreciated. In reply to your comment on my talk page regarding the use of text from http://www.themagicofcornwall.com/Pages/history/gurney.htm in the Goldsworthy Gurney article. I have not obtained permission from the copyright holder. I have tried to make alterations to the text so that it is not an exact copy. If the alterations to the text are not substantial enough then let me know. I do realise that it is not acceptable to put other people's copyright work on Wikipedia without their permission. --Benjaminevans82 20:51, 17 August 2006 (UTC) (talk)
- Thanks for dropping an email to the owner of the source site asking if she/he minds. If we can use some of the pictures it would be great. I was quite surprised to see in my watch list that someone had made a contribution to Goldsworthy Gurney so soon after I started the article. I to was surprised that there was nothing on Goldsworthy Gurney in wikipedia to start with. I started to become interested in Gurney because I live in Wadebridge, Cornwall where he once lived. considering the article is only two days old it is pretty good now. Kind regards --Benjaminevans82 (talk)

- There are Black Panthers (Leopards) in South Carolina. I have seen them and know it for a fact. Although the officials deny it. There is also another large cat roaming my area, but I don't really know the breed. It is smaller than the Black Leopard and is tan in color. I would say it weighs around 65 pounds or so.

[edit] DB9
Spring cleaning on the DB9 article, I found that you own the two California Sage DB9 Coupe pictures. Now, what I was wondering was - did you intentionally leave the number plates visible? Don't get me wrong, I like the pictures (and they'd look great above/below the info-box instead of in an oddly-placed gallery...of sorts), but it does seem a little strange to have the plates showing online. If you want me to obscure them I'd be more than happy, just leave a message 'up' my talk page and I'll do them for you, send them back and then re-upload them over the existing images.
My very sincerest and most utter apologies if that is, in fact, your DB9 and you wish to keep the plates 'open'.
Cheers. Abarthaddict 17:19, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Malachi Rictsher
Hi, Tagishsimon, I took a "look-see" at Richtsher via google, and additionally added some categories. Say did the Chicago Tribune or any other MSM run an obiturary or a report about his suicide? It would really add balance to the article. Cheers V. Joe 18:12, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Hi again... I don't know if he was sane or not. Truthfully, it doesn't matter as far as notability, etc, BUT if he was in fact, suicidally depressed or had just been given "6 months to live" it would be relevant to his case. I wouldn't know, truthfully, having never heard of him until a few minutes ago. That said, I've never had the slightest urge to immolate or otherwise suicide over events in the news for any reason whatsoever... V. Joe 18:29, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Incivility on Ref Desk Talk Page
Your recent posts go far beyond what is needed or appropriate in response to an answer which was misguided: "Please do not post CRAP answers..", "As normal, you're deploying dumb..arguments," "..your continued incontinent postings." (definition of incontinent: unrestrained, unable to hold back, but also implies incapable of controlling excretory functions), ""Do you have such an insufficieny of honesty..." This is incivility per se and uncalled for on Wikipedia. Please take a little time to cool down and then do not bite other editors. Thanks. Edison 20:36, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Signature
Sorry for bothering anyone for my signature. The signature is now removed, and replaced under WP:SIG. However, I think it is nfair to judge someone should be an admin or not base on their signature. I understand my signature is a little bit awkward. In fact, I had only put this signature for a test drive and attempt to receive comments from others. However, until your comment comes, I had receive no comments complaining about my signature. The only ones are positive. After all, I think it is unfair to judge someone by their signatures, especially they are in a test drive.

[edit] Eudes of Burgundy
Regarding the picture you uploaded onto the Eudes IV of Burgundy article: Are you sure it is Eudes? The inscription on the top of the portrait reads, "LE DUCK PHYLIPE DE BOURGUNGE" ("The Duke Philip of Burgundy"), and the subject's neckchain appears to have the Golden Fleece insignia suspended from it. The Order of the Golden Fleece was instituted only in 1430 - by Duke Philip the Good of Burgundy. Bearing this, and circumstancial evidence (Philip the Good was active in 1430 and plays a part in Joan of Arc's life, Eudes was long dead and his line extinct), what reason do you have to think it is Eudes? Michaelsanders 18:55, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
- No problem - I only noticed it because I had far too much time on my hands. And as mistakes go, I'd rather make that mistake than some of those I've made :). (Incidentally, I hope I didn't come across as rude - I wasn't intending to, but looking at my remark above it does look a little terse. Sorry!). Keep up the good work! Michaelsanders 11:25, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Civility
This, along with several other comments you have made recently, was entirely inappropriate. I see that you have been warned about violating the civility and personal attack policies before. [edit] Image:Eudes IV, Duke of Burgundy - Project Gutenberg etext 19488.jpg
Hi! You requested the deletion of this picture from Commons. As a Commons sysop, I have no problem with that. I just wanted to make sure you were aware of the possibility to rename this picture. Do you maintain your deletion request or do you wish me to rename it? Jastrow (Λέγετε) 15:36, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
- Just interfering here: I don't think you should have it deleted. It would appear to be Philip III of Burgundy (based on the inscription and the Golden Fleece), so would be useful to his article. Although some clearer confirmation would help. Michaelsanders 15:47, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] new stubsensor
Hey there old chap,
I got a new stubsensor out, you can find it at User:Triddle/stubsensor/20070206. Good news too, I solved that nasty problem with the red links. The problem was that I was cutting and pasting the cleanup reports into Wikipedia and the pasting was blowing away the Unicode. Now that I'm publishing with a bot, not only is it less work, but it also keeps the unicode intact. Take care, Triddle 08:28, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] PDFbot
PDFbot has attempted to specify the size of a PDF in this edit, but got it wrong, at 0.0 bytes. Could you look into the problem, please, and revert any similar instances. thanks --Tagishsimon (talk)
- It looks like a one-off, having trawled some other PDFBot changes. Would be nice to know the cause & prevent a repetition, though. --Tagishsimon (talk)
- I had also discover one instance where this happened, similar I had thought it was a fluke. Both the servers were running Apache/1.3.26 with ApacheJserv/1.1.2, but they report the values incorrectly when the bot queries them with the HTTP HEAD Request. I've since put in a few checks into the code that checks for a minimum size and MIME type. —Dispenser 08:27, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Great Fire inline citations
Sorry for the delay. I don't know for sure if there is a way to do it as you asked, with just including the references. Some FA/GAs are now being removed from their status due to lack of inline citations, and I wanted to prevent that from happening if I passed it. I guess the only safe thing to do is either check out the book from a library or buy it to include the inline citations based on page number to be the most accurate and verifiable. I'm sure there are more sources besides the three at the bottom which you could also use. Don't be afraid to include newspaper articles, online articles, or other sources to contribute to the inline citations. Let me know what kind of response you get back about this citing situation. --Nehrams2020 09:20, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
