Tagadur Erinda Perumcheral

Tagadur Erinda Perumcheral was a Chera king during the Sangam period (between the first and the third century CE) in South India. His capital was Vanci and his country was located along the Malabar coast and central Kerala.

He was famous in Tamil poetry for the invasion and destruction of the great city of Thagadoor of Athiyamaan Nedumaan Anci. He was a Tamil poet himself and had sung the Marutha thinai chapters of Kalitokai in the Sangam Literature. He is the hero of the eighth chapter of Pathirrupattu.
