[edit] Noah's Island
I think it's shaping up quite well. The only thing needed now is a more detailed episode guide. --Candlewicke 23:35, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Eva Hart
I removed some of what was in the article because it was unsourced. Even if you did interview her, there would have to be sourced evidence for the statements. I removed the stuff in the trivia section also, because most of it was already mentioned. Morhange 05:28, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Winchell.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Winchell.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Belated welcome
I just noticed you haven't had a "welcome" on your talk page so I've put one at the top! Don't worry, I didn't get one for weeks after I started editing. It's not an automatic thing - some other user has to notice you've appeared, and then put one on your page.
I had a quick look at all the work you've done - wow! you've certainly put in many hours of hard work already. Don't be put off by these automated messages from bots - I find they are sometimes worded in quite an unfriendly way, but they mean well. Also, I found that some editors can be quite abrupt in their comments - just read the Assume good faith page again, and tell yourself that not everybody is endowed with the gift of tact! It's often better to cool things with a gentle or humorous reply, rather than raising the global average blood pressure ;-) That's my approach, anyway.
Keep up the good work and don't forget to get some sleep (your edits often go through to 3am or 4am!)
Cheers, Euchiasmus 10:23, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] How to sign your edits on talk pages
When I first started on WP it took me a while before I realised that if you put four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your comments on talk pages, the Wikipedia software replaces it with your username and the date and time. Try it - it's a great timesaver. Cheers Euchiasmus 07:00, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Len Carlson (Bert, Mr Knox, Pig 1 & 2).jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Len Carlson (Bert, Mr Knox, Pig 1 & 2).jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
. If you have not already done so, please also include the source of the image. In many cases this will be the website where you found it.
Please specify the copyright information and source on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fritz Saalfeld (Talk) 11:07, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Gd41741.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Gd41741.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Gamaliel 18:59, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Sfry.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Sfry.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla 04:02, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] The nature of opinion
Tad, regarding my use of "opinion" in context of "Ride Like the Wind", I would counter that the last sentence "It is therefore fair to assume that the individual is riding a horse 'like the wind' yet as death by hanging is still legal in a couple of states it could be a motorbike as well" is total conjecture. One could just as well suggest that it could be a jetpack! But I will refrain from dissing the Chris from this point on. He's got enough trouble with the law on his trail...

[edit] Deliberate attack on Wikipedia policy
Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits, such as those you made to Image:Sfry.jpg, are considered vandalism. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Thank you. --Yamla 04:43, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
You said: "how dare you accuse me of vandalism! I have done no such thing so dont accuse me of such acts sfry.jpg was an image i uploaded which is all i did. So dont start threatning me or ill report you for vandalism of my user page as well as threatning tones! Dont think you're the owner of this site just because you've heard from a few famous people"
- Your deliberate removal of the no-source and replaceable tags from Image:Sfry.jpg is completely unacceptable and puts Wikipedia at direct risk for a copyright-infringement lawsuit. Please refrain from further such acts. --Yamla 19:21, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Noahsi copy.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Noahsi copy.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --RobthTalk 04:57, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, this tag had been present on the image from two months prior, but you seem to have removed it without discussion or rationale (which you seem to have a history of doing). I have gone ahead and deleted the image; please try to be more careful to keep Wikipedia free of copyright infringements. (ESkog)(Talk) 08:39, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image tagging for Image:Tbagbbak.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Tbagbbak.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
