Tadpole or Tadpoles may refer to:
- A tadpole is a pollywog, a larval amphibian.
- A galaxy with a long tidal trail, see Tadpole Galaxy.
- Tadpole is a 2002 film directed by Gary Winick about a boy who falls in love with an older woman.
- In physics, a tadpole is a Feynman diagram with one external leg, and it encodes a one-point function (correlation function of one field). The name is due to Sidney Coleman.
- In the US Navy, it has two meanings:
- a sailor who has not yet crossed the equator while on a ship – this is termed a pollywog. See crossing the line.
- a US Navy SEAL candidate (both officers and enlisted) who have not completed the Basic Underwater Demolitions/SEAL (BUD/S) course in Coronado, California.
- Some scuba diving clubs have an entry class called Tadpoles for younger children who want to start scuba diving.
- Scuba diving clubs in Britain formerly used the nickname "tadpole" for some sorts of early aqualung with small cylinders, or for small aqualung cylinders: see Aqua-lung#"Tadpoles".
