- It seems that the greatest problem people had with you is that, apparently, you haven't been here for long enough. There isn't so much you can do about that, but I'd highly recommend you stick around and wait a few months - you have an impressive editing record now, it'll be even better by then. In the meantime, you could probably benefit with building up a record of "meaty" article editing, if that's your thing: there are always more articles needing wikifaction, expansion and the like. Personally, I see no problem with your record and will be happy to support in the future, but I hope you take these problems into account. Good luck, and happy editing! :) RandyWang (chat me up/fix me up) 22:02, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
- Comment. Yes I was also working this. I have a list to show the articles I've contributed too here: User:SynergeticMaggot/Contributions. Thanks for the input. SynergeticMaggot 22:11, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
- Reply. Excellent to hear - I'm working on expanding my article space edits at the moment, too. :) Anyway, good luck on getting that count up, and I hope to see you requesting adminship again at some point in the future. RandyWang (chat me up/fix me up) 08:25, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

Hi, as per your request, here are two bits of advice:
- Wait until October 22nd before accepting a nomination (I will even nom you myself, if I happen to remember at the time).
- Do not confront (however politely you do it) anyone on your RFA page. If you need to ask a specific user a question about their vote, do so on their talk page... but even that I don't recommend.

- Ah. Thanks. I wasnt sure if I should comment. The thought about me not commenting on my RfA struck me as a bit silly. Especially when a few things turn out to be wrong. And some users have a habit of not checking on it, just opposing. But I'll avoid commenting next time. Thanks. SynergeticMaggot 23:43, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
- I understand your (SM) point completely. See Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Rama's Arrow - while I don't repent one iota, this is what can happen in such situations. Rama's arrow 13:41, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

I didn't see this when I voted on your RfA, but you currently list very prominently on your userpage that your political ideology is Anarcho-capitalist. Listing personal political positions on userpages is very controversial, and listing yourself as anarchist-capitalist might be downright inflamitory considering the extremely disputed nature of that subject on wikipedia.--Musaabdulrashid 04:05, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
- I disagree. The concern is that your personal beliefs may color your edits and behavior - so long as this doesn't happen, its ok. There is no difference in describing yourself as anarcho-capitalist than citing your national origin or that you drink coffee. Rama's arrow 13:35, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

- I disagree as well, Rama - but the problem is that to others it is a problem, and if SM is seeking to be voted in... then the advice Musaaa has given may be worth following. Themindset 22:24, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

- Please note that I did not mean that this alone would turn people to vote against SM, but might be enough to shift a person's perspective from neutral to opposed. There were more than a few comments on attitude in and toward wikipedia in the last vote, and combined with other reasons, this could be enough to turn voters away from this candidate.--Musaabdulrashid 06:02, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
