Synthetic closure

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Synthetic closures, such as synthetic cork, are alternative wine closures created in response to problems with cork taint, a common problem with wine closures made of natural cork.

There are three main production techniques for synthetic wine closures: injection moulding, extrusion moulding and the Vinova type production, which combines the advantages of both injection moulding and extrusion moulding.
