Synth Rock is a broad and varied classification of artists who have in common the use of intentionally artificial sounds made possible by synthesizers, samplers and drum machines. Many of the artists called "synth rock" could also be categorized under other genres. Most techno-rock bands can also be classified as synth-rock.
