[edit] Trivia
- The title of this episode is a play on words to the phrase sympathy for the devil.
- Another title used by The WB in promotional ads was House of Fear.
- When Piper tells Paige that she can move the potion telekinetically because Prue previously could, she is referring to what occurred in the season one episode Out of Sight. In that episode Prue telekinetically threw a spilled potion from the ground to a Grimlock's face, thus vanquishing him. Prue later mimicked her same actions again in the season three episode All Halliwell's Eve when she saved Leo from another Grimlock. Thus, this is the first time that Paige exhibits the ability to not just simply orb an item, but telekinetically orb an object through sheer mental power from one place to another without the object disappearing in the process.
- Nearing the end of the episode, Piper mistakes her kissing cue and tries to kiss Leo. However, Leo stops her to talk about Paige.
- Cole says Barbas can use his power to become the Source, but in the episode Womb Raider it was established that an aspiring Source also needs the Grimoire, which was hidden away by Leo beneath the Andes Mountains.
- We learn from Paige that Prue was previously able to conjure a dove using a difficult spell.
- Phoebe duplicates Prue's Astral Projection power with a spell in this episode.
- At the end of this episode Paige strips Barbas' power with a Power Striping Potion. This should mean that Barbas will have lost all his stolen powers including his original power to control fear and teleportation.
- In I've Got You Under My Skin (Charmed episode), Phoebe calms Piper down by reassuring her she is not evil. In this episode, Piper is the one who is calming down Phoebe about not being evil.
